Four VELUX Longlights create a friendly environment in an atrium at the heart of the school
The school building consists of a simple four-storey block, divided by two glazed courtyards and a central atrium. Classrooms are arranged by age group and are located around the courtyards in the outer sections of the building. Classrooms for specialist subjects and school administration are in the centre of the building around the atrium.
- At the centre of the school is the atrium with a VELUX rooflight solution that connects all floors and areas and provides plenty of daylight. The generous seating steps make it a meeting point for students, a place for communication and gathering.
- Four Longlights comprising a total of 28 VELUX Modular Skylights, eight of which are electrically opening skylight modules, allow natural light and fresh air to reach the ground floor of the open space.
The impressive school design is created by a simple building block, a straightforward floor plan structure, clear edges and few distinctive materials as well as plenty of daylight.
