Somfy is the world leader in the automatic control of openings and closures in homes and buildings, and the Somfy Lighthouse is an experience centre designed to welcome visitors and introduce them to the brand and its solutions
When designing the building, the architect wanted to open it up to the sky as much as possible in order to provide the greatest amount of natural light. In fitting the skylight, the objective was to create a sense of immersion and contact with the sky.
The challenge was the ability to control the light supply entering the showroom.
The room is bathed in light and produces a "wow" effect when you walk inside. When the blinds are lowered, visitors are attracted towards the interior of the building and the scenography. From a design point of view, the glass roof is perfectly integrated into the circular architecture of the building.
