Light-filled canteen
For the more than 300 employees, manufacturer of natural medicines, Salus Haus, has replaced its run-down canteen with the "Salusteria" - a striking new building that reflects the philosophy of the traditional company in terms of its simplicity and choice of materials used. Untreated wood and natural stone from the region demonstrate the company’s connection to nature.
Four Longlights, comprising 64 VELUX Modular Skylights, integrated into the striking pent roof, provide plenty of daylight and create a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. A clever combination of visual references to the outside space and the incidence of light from above ensures a sense of openness and maximum brightness in the employee canteen.
This well-thought-out form of daylight design creates an impressive lighting mood that changes hourly, something that is otherwise found only in glass orangeries.
