Additional products for Modular Skylights

When people spend 90% of the time indoors, designing with daylight becomes an obligation. Great daylight design brings the qualities of the outdoors into the building. Daylight brightens the mind and invigorates the body. It carries warmth, provides clarity, and creates spaces for meeting, talking, relaxing and learning. Modular Skylights offer a range of product features and accessories to optimise the indoor climate by controlling daylight, heat and ventilation.

Daylight and heat control

Control daylight and heat to create the best indoor climate. Modular Skylights are designed to optimise the indoor climate and offer options such as integrated blinds or special glazing to control daylight, heat and glare.

Roller blinds

The fully integrated roller blinds control daylight, heat and solar glare through the rooflight. The blinds are supported by thin, free-floating wires to create an invisible effect. Blinds are available with fire-retardant cloth in grey, white and black.

To minimise the light spillage around the edges, a dim out solution with aluminimum profiles fitted in module frame is available. The dim out profiles can be pre-mounted from the factory or mounted during installation on-site.

To support a fast and safe installation of the skylight solution, you can order the roller blinds pre-mounted from the factory.

VELUX roller blinds have a recommended minimum installation height of 2.5 m above floor level (inside) and ground level (outside). In case of installation below that level, safety measures must be applied by the installer/user to prevent serious injury. No instruction or measure can eliminate the inherent hazards resulting from installation heights below 2.5m.

Smoke ventilation
