With double glazing, it offers airborne sound reduction of 37 dB and thermal transmittance of 1.7 W/m²K for the entire module. While these specifications are adequate for many applications, they are not as high-performing as our triple-glazed options (which reach 45 dB sound reduction and 1.1-1.2 W/m²K thermal transmittance). For extremely sensitive healthcare environments or educational facilities in extreme climates, other VELUX Commercial Modular Rooflight variants with triple glazing might be more appropriate. Circularlight would be suitable for moderately sensitive spaces where its architectural benefits are valued alongside adequate acoustic and thermal performance.
