Vario FIREJET® 165J comprises a single-piece flap that covers the entire dome. It is suitable for use with the Vario Norm and Vario-Therm rooflights.

Louvered ventilation — SMOKEJET®
A high-performance louvre system or blind system, Smokejet® is an economical and option for providing large areas with fresh air or redirecting large volumes of warm air. It can be integrated as a SHEV device within the roof and is also compatible with all Vario Continuous Rooflights. A range of customisation options are available, allowing the system to be adapted to customer and project requirements.
- Roof slopes: up to 10° for most applications; up to 30° or 45° when using with mono- or dual-pitched rooflights
- Installation: can be installed either in the Vario Continuous Rooflights or with an upstand directly in the flat roof or thermal roof/insulated roof

Our intelligent control systems can implement various functions and features, allowing a customised level of building management control - from basic to comprehensive, depending on requirements.

Depending on what equipment in installed, these systems enable individual programming and the control up to ten drive groups. Optional expansion is possible with WLAN interface, KNX interface or a camera connection.

LB-DSL filigree steel safety net
The LB-DSL continuous rooflight fall-through protection system is a galvanised steel safety net for installation in the course of continuous rooflight assembly work.
This permanent and fully effective system guarantees the safety of work areas and traffic routes on the roof and ensures compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
Due to its filigree steel construction, the LB-DSL safety net has an appealing appearance, while providing optimum protection from falls and allowing maximum daylight transmission.
Suitable for use with all Vario continuous rooflights, and available in widths of 1200 mm to 6200 mm.
LB-DDS steel grid system
LB-DDS is a lightweight fall-through protection system. Provided as a completely pre-assembled safety steel grid, it offers quick on-site installation and is ideal when retrofitting Vario continuous rooflight flaps, as it allows for installation without removing the glazing.
It provides excellent protection from falls and fulfils compliance with all current standards and regulations for safeguarding workplaces and traffic routes on flat roofs.
Suitable for Vario barrel vault continuous rooflight flaps.
Vario Protect — the multifunctional safety and sun protection system
Vario Protect is a light-weight multifunctional protection system against falling through, excessive thermal radiation and harsh weather conditions, all at the same time.
The intelligent profile design comprised of aluminium slats with spacing of 60 or 120 mm prevents daylight and seasonal glare affects, thermal input and simultaneously promotes light input when the sun level is low.
Vario Protect is available as full covering of the continuous rooflight or as traffic route protection (VWS).
Due to its easy installation technique and light weight, the Vario Protect System is perfectly suitable for retrofittings as well as it is ideal for rooflights with SHEV functionality.

Vario Safeguard — comprehensive traffic route protection
Vario Safeguard is a comprehensive traffic route and fall-through protection system that is particularly suitable for safety-related refurbishment projects due to its low weight and easy installation from the roof.
Due to the fastening as a secondary system, without dismantling the glazing, leak tightness and drainage are unaffected and daylight yield is almost unchanged.
For maximum safety, Vario Safeguard can be combined with the LB-DDS protection system for rooflight flaps. Suitable for all Vario barrel vault continuous rooflights.
Kerb system
The adjustable kerb system and optional roof membrane connection system enable for the right fit in every roof structure.
Manufactured from steel and available in standard heights of 250 to 700 mm, the adjustable kerb features a vertical contour that makes it suitable for use with all Vario continuous rooflights.
With an outwardly sloping 8° incline of the kerb head, our kerb ensures reliable drainage of rainwater and condensation.
It can be furnished with up to 100 mm roof insulation to enhanced thermal performance. As an option we provide rock wool insulation, tailored to the kerb geometry to prevent thermal breaks and provide enhanced thermal performance. The kerb system is optional available for insulation and thermo roofs.
OPTIMAL connection system L
The OPTIMAL connection system L creates a permanent and secure connection between the roof sheeting and the kerb. The kerb system is optional available for insulation and thermo roofs. The OPTIMAL connection system L is available as an optional extra, at an additional charge.

Vario rooflights are available with a wide range of accessories designed to enhance safety and improve the indoor environment
Glazing with sun protection
Vario continuous rooflights have a variety of glazing types, with a range of thicknesses in opal and clear depending on solution type to meet the desired levels of thermal performance and light transmittance.
The use of "DI" (distance insolation) and IR-control glazing types reduce thermal transmittance and facilitate lower heat input. The Vario Therm system in combination with a DI glazing and a tall and well insulated kerb system can reach Uw-values below 1.1 W/m²K.
Insect protection for Vario continuous rooflight flaps
Ideal for locations where hygiene is of particular concern, such as food processing factories and bakeries, the insect protection for Vario continuous rooflight flaps provides optimal protection against insects and also helps to keep out particulates or other debris. It can be easily retrofit to existing systems and the insect protection fabric can be removed for cleaning purposes.
The insect protection system is suitable for use with the ventable and SHEV side and cross beam flaps that are used in the Vario Norm and Vario Therm continuous rooflights. It has no effect on the aerodynamic exhaust surface area (Aa-value) and allows for independent forced separation from the substructure in the event that the SHEV system is triggered.
Shading and protection system Vario Protect
This is a multi-functional system designed to protect against heat radiation and prevent glare. It also protects against hail, falling through, burglary and fire from outside, considerably reducing liability risks for building owners and operators.
Made of aluminium slats, Vario Protect can be powder coated in a wide range of standard RAL colours to match its surroundings. It is also ideal for retrofit projects.
