In short

Vario Therm is a barrel-vault continuous rooflight that offers energy efficiency and robust construction. It combines thermal insulation, protection and weathertight roof sealing with an attractive appearance, making it the perfect choice for projects with high architectural demands.

With thermal decoupling and thermal insulation of the eaves area and kerb head, Vario Therm rooflights are able to achieve Uw-values as low as 1.02 W/m²K.

They are ideal for both new-build and refurbishment projects where sustainability and energy efficiency are priorities, and guarantee optimum roof illumination with natural, diffused daylight.

A variety of fall-through protection systems can be included to ensure maximum safety during installation and maintenance work on the roof. Options range from lightweight, retrofittable systems through to robust multifunctional systems.

Multiple configuration possibilities are available, ensuring the right fit in every roof opening. In addition, a variety of accessories and features can be incorporated into the rooflight system, and the customised rooflights are prefabricated at our factory for easy and quick installation.

Frequently asked questions

How does Vario Therm differ from Vario Norm?

Vario Therm offers enhanced thermal insulation, achieved through additional multiwall layers, thermal breaks and improved sealing systems. It is ideal for energy-efficient buildings or cold climates.

What is the typical U-value for Vario Therm?

Vario Therm typically achieves significantly lower U-values than Vario Norm: around 1.0 W/m²K or better depending on specification.

Can Vario Therm include opening or SHEV elements?

Yes, though flap sizes or actuator types may differ due to the thicker glazing and thermal break design. Options are available for comfort and smoke ventilation with compatible control systems.

When should I choose Vario Therm over Vario Norm?

Vario Therm is recommended for buildings prioritising energy efficiency, occupant comfort or compliance with higher insulation standards.
