Products details

  • In short

A Wall-mounted Longlight is a row of modules mounted against a vertical wall at the top of the modules. A wall height of maximum 3 m above the wall-mounted Longlight is possible.

Wall-mounted Longlights bring light further into a building when installed in a building extension. Wall-mounted Longlights also permit the joining of different ceiling heights and can be used to connect adjacent buildings. When installed at up to 45°, the wall-mounted Longlights add vertical space to the room.

VELUX modular skylights are delivered with a 10-year guarantee on modules and flashings.

VELUX skylight specialists offer support throughout design, specification and installation, including design of the sub-construction needed for installation. Please note that sub-constructions are not included in the VELUX delivery.

Comfort venting VELUX Modular Skylights meet the requirements of the harmonised standard EN 60335-2-103(2015). Therefore, comfort venting skylights can be installed within reach, i.e. at installation heights below 2.5 m above floor level (inside) and ground level (outside).

We recommend that you observe national regulations and consider if the planned specific use of the building requires additional safety measures that must be applied by the installer/user to prevent serious injury.

For more details and information on smoke venting Modular Skylights, please refer to Technical Handbook and the safety guides delivered with each product. If VELUX roller blinds are installed, please observe recommendations.

  • Details

VELUX modular skylight system is a turnkey solution comprising prefabricated skylight modules with dedicated claddings, flashings and vapour barrier connection strip to allow for design of watertight rooflight and glass roof structures.

Comfort ventilation is possible via an integrated chain actuator that can be controlled with VELUX INTEGRA® system or with your preferred building management system. Smoke ventilation can only be controlled with your preferred building management system.

For optimal daylight and heat control consider internal roller blinds that can be pre-mounted from the factory.

    Pre-fabricated VELUX Modular Skylights

Pre-fabricated modular skylights from VELUX come with perfectly matching cladding, flashing and roller blinds.

  • Glazing

VELUX modular skylights come with standard low-energy double or triple glazing with the following features:

    • Insulated glazing (Ug values down to 0.5 W/m²K)
    • Toughened outer glass
    • Laminated inner safety glass
    • Falling through safety
    • Sound insulation (traffic, rain and hail)
    • Warm edge spacer (protects insulation properties over time and minimizes the risk of condensation at pane edges)
    • Step pane (leads water off the unit)
    • Sun protection coating (optional)
Glazing units for VELUX modular skylights

All glazing units come with step glass on the outer side to ensure water tightness (class E1200, EN 12208:2000).

  • Performance

The VELUX modular skylight profiles (sash and frame) are made of pultruded fiberglass (80%) and polyurethane composite (20%). The composite material provides high insulation performance and thermal stability as well as excellent profile stiffness and bending strength.

Due to the concept of prefabrication, we are able to test our products extensively against all thinkable hazards and stressful events. Tests are performed in controlled environments in accordance with harmonized standards for both Windows and doors and for Smoke and Heat control systems.
Pre-fabricated VELUX modular skylights come with low energy glazing units to achieve low overall U-value

In combination with low energy glazing units, the modular skyligths are able to achieve one of the lowest overall U-values for frame and glazing assembly in the skylight market (Uw values down to 0.86 W(m2/K)).

  • Additional solutions
